Safe Usage Guidelines
Ensure baby is in an ergonomic position with legs in a wide squat position and knees higher than their bum (think of an ‘M shape’).
The wrap should be tied securely in a double knot at the front or back of your body.
Be mindful of your layers so that you and baby do not overheat.
Keep baby’s head supported with the aid of the wrap by tucking slightly over their neck/ear area.
Be aware of increased risk of your baby falling out of the wrap as they become more active.
Your movement and the baby’s movement may affect your balance. Take care when bending and leaning forwards or sideways.
Regularly inspect the wrap for any signs of wear and tear. Do not use if it is damaged.
Keep this wrap away from children when it is not in use, it is not a toy.
Do not use with hot drinks around baby’s head.
Remember, always use the T.I.C.K.S rule for safe babywearing.
It is always your responsibility to use this product as recommended according to the provided instructions and below safety guidelines. It is important that you read all the instructions provided with your Maine Wrap.
Bon + Bear will not be held responsible for any injuries or damages due to misuse or careless babywearing. Always check the garment for faults, worn areas or visible signs of damage and discontinue use immediately.
The Chicago Loop - Nursing
- The loop should never be used standing or to transport baby. Only wear when seated and always supporting baby closely.
- Be mindful of your layers so that you and baby do not overheat. You will keep each other warmer than you think.
- Always remove your cover if baby falls asleep whilst feeding.
- Do not use “hands free” unsupported whilst breastfeeding. Don’t worry, your hands are still free for coffee and cake, but keep baby’s head supported in your arm at all times.
